When you ask someone a random question, out of nowhere, in the middle of a conversation, the person being asked has the tendency to answer you truthfully, because his or her thoughts are broken and would usually tell you what comes into their mind first.
You get to know their unguarded side, how they react, their body language, and what their answer tells you about them. The person would answer your question either by asking you why are you asking him or her that, or just telling you the answer straight forward.
Random questions open up a different side of the person. It can make you see what the other person is hiding through observing his or her reactions. It also lets you to get the other person better. Randomness is good, it breaks the cycle and makes everyone think.
Asking random questions. Filling up the gaps in life by knowing the things people wouldnt usually tell you. Knowing the person better by asking what the other person wouldnt usually think about telling you. Opening another window to peek at. ^_____^
